1. Create and perform a play based on patch town life. Include other discipline such as art, theater, etc. 2. Write a narrative from the point of view of an outsider passing through the area of the patch town. 3. Research other examples of company towns throughout Pennsylvania and beyond. Compare and contrast with those of the Anthracite areas of the state. 4. Investigate the cultural diversity that evolved throughout the existence of the patch towns. 5. Develop a classroom skit that would show the interactions between various residents in a company town. 6. Create a newspaper that would report on the day-to-day events in a remote mining town. 7. Examine how industry effected the development of neighborhoods in the students" hometown.
