These attractions bring history to life for the enjoyment of all ages. The following attraction or attractions represent where the Trail of History passes through this region.
Pennsylvania Military Museum
Through its displays and exhibits, the Pennsylvania Military Museum comprehensively
illustrates the military history of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and
its citizens from the French and Indian War up to Desert Storm. The museum
honors not war, but the men and women who fought in the defense of freedom.
The park surrounding the museum is known as the 28th Division Shrine,
commemorating the achievements of America's oldest Army division of modern
composition, Pennsylvania's 28th. Visit our website for more information

Joseph Priestley House
Joseph Priestley House was the American home of Joseph Priestley, an English
theologian, scientist, natural philosopher, teacher, linguist, historian
and central figure of the Anglo-American enlightenment.
A rural Georgian manor home built in Northumberland County in 1794 by
Priestley, the house holds what may be the first scientific research laboratory
in the United States. It was in this laboratory, designed by Priestley,
where carbon monoxide was first described. Priestley lived in the home
until his death in 1804. It is furnished with authentic period objects,
as well as exhibits presenting Priestley's accomplishments and varied
interests. Learn
