Students should research the experienced of Roger Williams and Anne Hutchinson to then report back to the class. Analyze their experiences as dissenters in Massachusetts. Students should be divided into groups to research the different religious groups that settled in Pennsylvania. They should consider beliefs, push and pull factors for immigration and the type and location of communities they created in PA. Comparisons can also be made with religious practice in the Southern Colonies such as Virginia as well.
