Gettysburg National Military Park 97 Taneytown Road Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325
The National Park Service offers a variety of educational experiences for students. For teacher resources, see http://www.nps.gov/gett/getteducation/teachguide.htm. You may wish to specifically ask to see Amos Humiston memorial–an engraved plaque of Humiston and his children–located at the park. According to Dunkelman in his book Gettysburg's Unknown Soldier, it is the only memorial of an individual enlisted man on the Gettysburg battlefield. If you are unable to travel, you may wish to look into the park's "Traveling Trunk" or their Distance Learning programs.
