Zane Grey lived in Lackawaxen, PA, from 1905 to 1918. Here, Grey in 1912 wrote Riders of the Purple Sage, the most successful of his novels. Today, the Greys’ farmhouse, purchased by the National Park Service in 1989, houses a museum dedicated to Zane Grey’s life and work.
