In this wonderful "literary map," illustrator Everett Henry highlighted important scenes from Owen Wister's classic western novel, including the card game with Trampas during which the Virginian delivers his famous line "When you call me that, smile." An inset map highlights Wyoming, the state in which Wister centered the events of his novel.
