In order to make a living after he stopped milling grain in 1934, Oliver Collins ran a machine shop on the first floor of the Mill, sharpened lawnmower blades, cut hair, and opened a small post office in an addition attached to his residence. Today, Collin's tools, and his barber's chair, are just as he left them when he died in 1982.
