Rustic toilets, tables, fire rings and a sanitary dump station are provided. Qualified adult and youth groups may use the 90-person capacity group tenting area equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, water and non-flush toilets. This area is open from the second Friday in April to the third Sunday in October, weather permitting. Advance reservations are recommended. This area is rustic in nature and as a result, no vehicles are permitted in the camping area.
The hiking trails in Colton Point State Park traverse very rugged terrain, passing close to many steep cliffs that afford an abundance of unique sights. The main trail, Turkey Path descends one mile to the canyon floor. The Pine Creek Trail traverses the abandoned ConRail Railway along Pine Creek, the trail can be accessed to the north at Darling Run Access near Ansonia and to the south at Blackwell Access. The groomed surface is great for hiking and non-motorized biking. Winter snow creates quality cross-country skiing along this 22-mile trail.
