In 1909 Lubin constructed his "Lubinville" factory at the corner of Indiana and 20th Street, just blocks away from the newly opened Shibe Park in North Philadelphia. There, under glass ceilings, Lubin directors could film up to five motion pictures at a time. In 1915, Lubin would produce more than 250 films here and at his Betzwood studio in nearby Montgomery County.
