Frankstown Path, west

Credit: Wallace, Paul A.W., Indian Paths of Pennsylvania. Harrisburg: Pa. Historical and Museum Commission, 1971.

As with the Frankstown Path East map, this map shows many places named for fur traders who used this route to reach the Allegheny River. It also has several place names indicative of this region's native inhabitants, such as Kittanning, a Delaware village, Blackleg's Town, and Old Shawnee Cabins.
