In 1936, the Rural Electrification Administration estimated that an all electric farm would use about $50.00 worth of electric current each month. The model farm that featured this kitchen, included such new fangled devices as electrically operated tools, hay hoist, drinking fountains for the livestock, and electric fly-killers.
