Like his siblings, Rembrandt Peale (1778 – 1860) learned how to paint at an early age. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a portrait painter and like his father, Charles Willson Peale, Rembrandt also owned and operated his own museum, on Holiday Street in Baltimore.
