John Senix prepared this map as an exhibit in the suit brought by the Penns against Lord Baltimore to determine the boundary line between Pennsylvania and Maryland in 1735. Senix based it upon John Smith's map of Virginia according from 1606 and a map of Dutch New Netherlands from 1630.
