President John Nelson addresses Erie City Council.

The popular leader of the militant, younger workers inside Local 506 of the Erie United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers Union, John Nelson was called before the Un-American Activities Committee and then fired by General Electric in 1954 for his affiliation with the Communist party before World War II.
