In the 1950s and 1960s, John O'Hara wrote columns for the Trenton Times-Advertiser, Collier's Weekly, and Newsday in which he espoused on a broad range of topics in a style that delighted some and infuriated others.  Never one to shy away from controversy O’Hara, a political conservative, in 1964 argued that Martin Luther King should not have received the Nobel Peace Prize.
