Flexible Match Patent Drawing

Joshua Pusey took out thirty-six patents, including designs for a crayon holder, a self-opening gate for horse-drawn carriages, hydrogen lamp, ash-fastener, artificial toboggan hill, ribbon feed reverser for typewriters, and a coin-operated dispenser for opera glasses. The most successful and long-lasting of his inventions was the Flexible Match, patented in 1892.
