In the summer of 1939, Danny Kaye and Imogene Coca starred in The Straw Hat Review, the only complete summer camp review ever to go to Broadway. The Straw Hat Review was more commercially viable than other Tamiment productions, which often had sharp political commentary and a more Jewish sensibility.
