Lubin Nickelodeon on Chestnut Street, Philadelphia.

Like many other early motion picture producers, Siegmund Lubin built and ran his own nickelodeons to show his films. The lavishly ornate Lubin nickelodeon on Chestnut Street was a giant step up from the makeshift theaters in which motion picture films were first shown just a few years before.
