Norris 4-6-0 locomotive

In the 1840s Philadelphia's Norris Locomotive Works became the first American company to build a powerful 4-6-0 locomotive, which had three driv9ng axles rather than two. Norris was the nation's largest manufacturer of engines until surpassed by Baldwin in the 1860s.
