After the Boston Tea Party, "The Committee of Taring and Feathering" circulated this broadside, advising Captain Ayres of the Polly that should he be so foolish and obstinate as to carry his cargo of tea to Philadelphia he could expect to see his ship burned and himself tarred and feathered.
