Born into a poor Lithuanian family in Pittsburgh, Johnny Unitas became one of the greatest players in NFL history. Named Player of the Decade for the 1960s, he was the first of a string of great NFL quarterbacks who came from western Pennsylvania that includes Joe Namath, Joe Montana, and Dan Marino.
