Traveling through this scenic river valley, you'll see remains of a large resort hotel in Watersonville, coke and iron ovens, the abandoned Monarch Mines and the rail tunnel built in 1915 at Brady's Bend. In Phillipston, the remains of an engine turnaround are still standing. To the delight of hang gliders, the river valley's sheer rock cliffs reach near 500-feet in height. The river features popular paddleboat cruises, and there are marinas in Kittanning and Rosson as well as numerous boat launches along the river's busy length.
