Bridgeton House was built in 1836 as a private residence. It has served as a general store, bakery (H.L. Yuts), pool hall, real estate office, and apartments.
It was riverside witness to the Flood of 1903, which swept away the wood-covered bridge that connected Upper Black Eddy to Milford, NJ.

In 1981, Bea and Charles Briggs purchased the run-down building and spent over a year gutting the building and uncovering old floorboards and vintage fireplaces. They rewired, plumbed, and painted, creating Bucks County’s only riverfront bed & breakfast inn.
Unique Location
Right on banks of the Delaware River the inn is within an easy drive of New York and Philadelphia and offers a very intimate location for private events, corporate retreats and New Hope weddings.
