Engraving of Phoenix Iron Works, including community buildings.

When this engraving was made in the mid-1850s, the newly reorganized Phoenix Iron Company was beginning an expansion to move into the fabrication of iron structural shapes and beams needed by the nation's booming iron bridge and building industries.
