During World War II, Les Brown, the Andrews Sisters, and other popular musicians recorded songs for the Music Branch of the Army Service Forces. On this V-Disc released soon after VE Day, Doris Day sang a love song for the GI who had to cross the Pacific "before he comes home to me."
