A close look at this map will reveal many place names derived from the Pennsylvania fur trade. Croghan's, LeTort's Spring, Blacklog Sleeping Place, and Jack's Narrows were all named by fur traders moving along this route. Note, too, the locations of Burnt Cabins and Old Conoy Town, other markers in this story.
