This maps shows the considerable amount of territory in western Pennsylvania (in yellow) ceded by the Iroquois to the British at Fort Stanwix in 1768. Relatively few Iroquois lived in this territory at the time. The Delaware and Shawnee who did live there were not invited to participate in the treaty.
