This European depiction of a colonial era Indian village, offers some indication of what Conoy Indian Town may have looked like. The long, bread-loaf shaped structures are longhouses, made out of tree bark and saplings to house several related families. Note also the village's proximity to the river and forest, both of which supplied necessary resources and routes of travel.
