In this photograph students and teachers from Redbank Valley High School assist project team members with excavation and mapping. Short wooden stakes placed in the excavation trench mark the locations of postmolds, the organic remains of structural posts. Careful mapping on a grid sheet often reveals the outline of former house locations.
