Adam Stephen’s division of Continental soldiers defended this area during the Battle of Brandywine. Lord Stirling’s division was positioned some 800 yards to the west, just beyond the white house in the background. The German Jaegers and British Light Infantry attacked from the present tree line. This picture faces northwest.
