A tourist destination as well as a working open-air market, Philadelphia's Italian market today reflects the urban diversity found in Philadelphia and other American cities. Visitors are as likely to seek fresh Lancaster County produce, or Oriental food stuffs sold by Chinese and Vietnamese venders as the traditional Italian fare offered by generations of Italian-Americans.
