Completed in 1876, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts was designed by Philadelphia architect Frank Furness (1839-1912). A mix of French Gothic and Renaissance Revival styles, it is considered by many a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture in America.
