Three years after his first wife's death, Father Divine, then 65, married one of his secretaries, twenty-one-year-old Edna Rose Ritchings. In 1954, Father Divine marked their eighth anniversary with a "marriage feast of the lamb" celebration that was repeated in several of the divine churches and missions in Philadelphia. Since Father Divine's death in 1965, Mother Divine has continued to lead his movement from their home in Gladwyne.
