At Bryn Mawr, Marianne Moore met Hilda Doolittle, who would become one of her literary mentors. In 1921, Doolittle without Moore’s knowledge, published Poems, a book of twenty-four of her verses in London, which introduced her work to a European audience and enhanced her growing reputation.
