RittenhouseTown is now a restored village that includes six original surviving structures. Reconditioned in the 1990s with the restoration of its stonework and paint color to their original appearance, the Rittenhouse Homestead is a fine example of vernacular German architecture, and includes a center-chimney that allowed heat to reach both ends of the house.
