If your child is looking for a summer adventure close to home, then they will love PEEC! The Pocono Environmental Education Center, located in Dingmans Ferry, is excited to announce their 2006 Children's Summer Nature Study Day Camp & Eco-Adventures Overnight Camp Schedules. Your child will enjoy traditional camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, eco-crafts, and games, but PEEC doesn't stop there! Campers will also learn to identify insects during pond exploration, find out why a beaver builds dams in wildlife study, and learn how to use a map and compass during orienteering class. They will also learn how to work and play as a team through PEEC's confidence & teambuilding courses, and of course, they will enjoy plenty of nature hikes with PEEC's instructors. This is your chance to open up the great outdoors for your children and let them see how exciting nature can be!
PEEC's Day camps are available for children ages 3-15 years from June 12 through August 18, 2006. PEEC's day camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Day rates and early drop-off are available. PEEC also offers pickups in Marshalls Creek and in Milford for your convenience. PEEC's Overnight Eco-Adventures are available for children ages 10-13 years during the weeks of July 16-22 and July 23-29. Children can attend one or both weeks of Eco-Adventures camp.
